Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in ICU and/or Stepdown care to join our team. This role involves caring for patients in a step-down unit and requires a commitment to delivering high-quality nursing care.
Shift Details
- Shift: 3x12-hour days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Holiday Rotation: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
Patient Ratios
Expected nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
Floating Requirements
Travelers may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs, including floating between similar units or sister facilities, as per the same expectations as current staff nurses.
Qualifications
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in stepdown or ICU nursing
- New Travelers: Accepted if they possess prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience
- License Required: SC license or Compact license must be obtained prior to start date
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS
- Certifications Preferred: NIHSS
- Special Requirements: ICU and/or Stepdown experience is essential

- Block Schedule: Accommodations may be requested, but are not guaranteed.
- Local Radius: 60 miles
- Local Applicants: Not accepted
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility reserves the right to cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks.
Additional Information
All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which lasts from June through November, with peak activity typically in August and September. Please consider this when accepting an assignment.
