Position Overview

This RN position is focused on Med/Surg Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC) within a Float Pool setting. The nurse will be required to float between Medical/Surgical units and IMC units. A key aspect of this role is managing patient care in a dynamic environment with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4 to 1:6.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurses in this position will be responsible for providing comprehensive care for patients with complex medical conditions, including but not limited to:

• Acute respiratory distress
• Septic shock
• Hypertensive crisis
• Severe congestive heart failure
• Myocardial infarction
• Unstable angina
• Trauma patients

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience required.
• At least 2 years of prior experience in an IMC unit in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Recent experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting is required.
• Proficiency in using EPIC electronic health records is necessary.

Additional Requirements

The following vaccinations and screenings are required:

• Flu vaccine
• Two-step PPD screening

Shift Details

This position operates on a day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 06:30 to 19:00. Please note that block scheduling is not available for this role.
