Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MS/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment.
Contract Details
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days - 3x12 or 4x12 (08:00 - 20:30)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Required as scheduled
- Floating: Required within the specialty and lower acuity as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Med Surg 5 South unit, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions based on clinical judgment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and coordinate care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding patient assessments, treatments, and progress.
- Support and educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing specialty; first-time travelers with strong skills/experience may be considered.
- Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
Patient Care Environment
- Patient Age Group: Adult and Geriatric.
- Average Census: 40-42 patients.
- Room Capacity: 22 rooms with 42 beds.
- Staffing Ratio: 1:4, up to 5 with lower acuity.
