Job Summary

The X-Ray Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in operating X-Ray equipment and possess the required certifications.

Shifts and Scheduling

• Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts (Friday - Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) with holidays as needed.
• Orientation will occur during the first week, followed by a consistent work schedule.
• Participation in a call rotation requiring availability 3-4 days per month.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document diagnostic imaging procedures according to protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including the use of radiation badges.
• May be required to float between different units or locations as necessary based on patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience is required, with preference given to candidates with C-arm and O-arm experience. Trauma experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Certifications: Must possess valid ARRT and BLS certifications. ARRT (R) and SCRQSA (R) accepted.
• Radiation Badge: Candidates must provide their own radiation badge, as it is not supplied by the institution.

Additional Information

• Successful candidates must be able to accommodate the possibility of being assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June - November).
• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. Approval will be based on facility needs.
• Guaranteed hours include the ability for the facility to cancel one shift every two weeks.
