Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic, fast-paced Respiratory Med-Surg unit, which specializes in the care of patients with pulmonary diseases. This high-acuity unit manages a complex population, including patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-moving environment with rapid patient turnover and varying care needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse population of adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience.
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips (competency test required on Day 1).
• Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is mandatory (no training or refreshers provided).

Additional Details

• No on-call requirement.
• Must be adaptable, efficient, and able to thrive in a high-volume setting.
• Holiday coverage required.

Shift Information

36 hours/week | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required.
