Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our acute care rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of nursing experience and will be capable of floating between multiple locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, focusing on rehabilitation needs for conditions such as CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological diagnoses.
• Monitor vital signs and interpret laboratory results.
• Perform medication reconciliation and document patient assessments, including health questionnaires and allergies.
• Conduct dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
• Collect and label specimens, conduct capillary blood draws, throat cultures, urinalysis clean catch, and perform phlebotomy.
• Engage in telephone triage, manage pharmacy calls, and assist with patient refill requests.

Patient Ratios

Standard patient ratio is 1:6; however, some rotations may require the nurse to manage up to 7 patients who have similar acuity levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care rehabilitation environment preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Experience using EPIC electronic health records system.
• Ability to float between multiple locations as needed.

Schedule

This position requires 3 shifts of 12 hours each, typically from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The candidate will work every 3rd weekend and may be required to work on holidays as necessary.
