Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialty in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to join our team. This position requires a strong background in cardiac telemetry and a focus on both cardiac and respiratory patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including Congestive Heart Failure, myocardial infarction, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and arrhythmias.
• Monitor and manage patients experiencing respiratory issues, such as COPD and pneumonia.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement therapeutic interventions for patients with Heart Failure, Respiratory Failure, NSTEMI, and more.
• Participate in patient and family education on disease management and health maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and established nursing standards.
• Float to other areas as required to meet the needs of the unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant specialty.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are mandatory.
• Experience in cardiac telemetry is essential.
• Strong clinical skills in managing cardiac and respiratory patients.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Open to first-time travelers.

Schedule

This position offers a schedule of 3 night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holidays as necessary.

Work Environment

The Registered Nurse will primarily work in a telemetry unit focusing on cardiac patients, providing critical care and support during patient recovery and management.
