Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Pre-operative care and Phase II Post-operative care to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of patients for surgical procedures in the Pre-op unit.
• Provide Phase II Post-op care and monitor patients' recovery progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Epic system.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and educate patients and families on procedural expectations.
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and standards of care.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-op and Phase II Post-op nursing.
• Proficiency with Epic healthcare software.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Successful completion of a telemetry test prior to commencement is required.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8-hour day shift, with hours from 05:00 to 13:30, Monday through Friday. Please note that no block schedules are available for this role.
