Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuroscience ICU team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICU care, particularly in neurosurgery, and be capable of managing a diverse patient population. This position involves rotating shifts, including both day and night schedules, with every other weekend and some holiday requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to ICU and Intermediate Care (IMC) patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting vital signs and changes in health status.
• Utilize Epic software for patient documentation and communication.
• Participate in telemetry testing and pass required assessments prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license for the state of practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Previous experience in an ICU setting is mandatory; neurosurgery experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to work with both ICU and IMC patient populations.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system is required.

Schedule

Shifts available include:

• Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
• Day shifts: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30)
