Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the Digestive Disease Inpatient Units. This role involves providing complex nursing care to patients with various gastrointestinal diagnoses and complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Digestive Disease Center.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Utilize a modified modular nursing model to enhance teamwork and patient outcomes.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and between like units as required.

Shift Details

This position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The role includes a holiday rotation, with weekend commitment of four shifts every four weeks. Requests for a block schedule will be considered based on management approval and unit needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina or a multistate/compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Operational Details

Travelers may experience occasional shifting due to patient needs, with the facility allowed to call off one shift every two weeks. During hurricane season (June to November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates with extensive time-off requests, particularly those including holidays, must receive approval from the facility.

Additional Information

• Parking is available at a designated garage with a registration fee for a hang tag. Additional fees may apply for parking in other areas.
• All RNs are required to wear solid royal blue scrubs or white tops with royal blue bottoms.
• Charting will be performed using the EPIC system.
• This is a Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Facility, designated as a Magnet Hospital.
