Position Information

• Role: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (8-hour shift)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirements: Yes, as needed
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• Floating Requirements: Potentially

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 6 bed ICU
• Patient Ratios: 3:5

Education & Certifications Required

• Current RN licensure.
• Experience in adolescent psychiatry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute mental health conditions.
• Utilize de-escalation skills effectively in high-stress situations.
• Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Required Skills and Experience

• Must have demonstrated de-escalation skills.
• Experience working with adolescents experiencing severe mental health issues, including thought disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, and manic episodes.
• Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.

Dress Code

• Business casual attire is required.
• Unacceptable attire includes ripped jeans, shorts, t-shirts or sweatshirts with logos, and open-toed shoes.
