Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Emergency Department and Critical Care to join our team. This is a 36-hour day shift position that includes rotating weekend and holiday requirements.

Position Information

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Emergency Department and Critical Care
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Yes
• Years of Experience: 2 to 5 years in Emergency Department / Critical Care; 1 year travel experience required
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: None

Education & Certifications Required

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI, NISHH
• Education Modules: Completion of education modules through the education department is required

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: Future state 20 beds, including 3 behavioral health beds within a secured unit and 2 triage rooms (currently under construction)
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 to 5:1
• Equipment: Standard for Emergency Care
• EMR System: EPIC

Hiring Profile

• Must Have Skills/Experience: 2 to 5 years in Emergency Department / Critical Care
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience with emergency department patients
• Personality Fit: Team-oriented, flexible, and possess excellent communication and documentation skills

• Scrub Color: Any solid color
• Unacceptable Attire: Professional attire only

Other Information

• The Emergency Department is a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center.
• The department is currently undergoing construction, which may require flexibility with workflow changes.
• The unit includes 3 behavioral health beds in a locked environment and 3 medical/psych swing beds. There is also an inpatient psychiatric unit available.
