Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in managing critical cardiac patients, with a solid understanding of advanced life support techniques.
Position Details
- 12-hour shifts available: 0700-1930 or 1900-0730
- Every other weekend and some holidays required
- No on-call responsibilities
- 4x12 scheduling considered upon preference
- Blocked weekends can be arranged based on traveler preference
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for patients in a CVICU setting.
- Utilize and operate the NextStage CVVH machine effectively.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor patient telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.
Qualifications
- Current RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience in CVICU and knowledge of the NextStage CVVH machine is essential.
- Previous experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery or Acuity Adaptable area preferred.
Prior to starting, travelers will be required to pass a telemetry test to ensure competency in managing cardiac patients effectively.
