CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on cardiovascular intensive care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CVICU nursing and experience with critical care procedures.

Shift Information

Shift Type: Night and Day, 12-hour shifts
Scheduled Hours: 07:00 - 19:30 or 19:00 - 07:30
Schedule: 4 shifts per week, every other weekend, some holidays

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the CVICU
Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed
Perform assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Utilize the NextStage CVVH machine and other critical care technologies effectively

Qualifications

Current RN license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Prior CVICU experience is required
Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable areas is preferred
Ability to pass a telemetry test prior to commencement

Additional Information

This position may allow for flexible scheduling options upon discussion, including 4x12-hour shifts and block weekend scheduling if preferred by the traveler. Join us in providing exceptional care to patients in need of intensive cardiovascular support.
