Description
Join our team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, providing essential services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role focuses on assisting patients in developing and restoring their functional independence while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Implement therapy interventions according to the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
- Document patient progress in an accurate and timely manner.
- Educate patients and their families about therapy processes and goals.
- Communicate updates on patient status to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and compliance protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or ability to obtain one.
- Demonstrated strong teamwork and patient care skills.
