Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Surgical/Trauma ICU. This intensive care unit comprises 15 beds and specializes in providing critical care to adult surgical and trauma patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Surgical/Trauma ICU.
- Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Adhere to established protocols and procedures within the unit.
- Maintain a compassionate and professional relationship with patients and their families.
- Prepare for and respond to emergencies and critical situations in the ICU.
Work Schedule
- Nights: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Every other weekend required.
- Must be available to work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
- Opportunities to approve up to 40 hours for time off.
Qualifications
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system is necessary.
- Must comply with the float policy.
- Registered Nurse License (Virginia) pending submissions will be accepted.
