Job Description
An excellent opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Acute Care Float. This position requires flexibility and the ability to provide exceptional patient care across various units as assigned by the nursing supervisor.
Key Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (30-minute lunch) for a 12-hour shift
- Patient Ratios: Vary according to needs, typically 1:6
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Responsibilities
As an Acute Care Float RN, you will:
- Float between various medical units including but not limited to:
- Medical Comfort Care
- Surgery and GI
- Trauma
- Medical
- Observation
- Oncology
- Medical Nephrology
- Orthopedic
- Joint Replacement/Orthopedic
- Neuro
- Vascular
- Pulmonary
- Cardiac Surgery
- Cardiac
- Provide quality patient care in various acute care settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information using Cerner EMR.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a comparable acuity hospital setting
- First-time Travelers: Considered
- Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Licensure: Active unencumbered RN license in TN or multi-state
- Special Requirements: Must have experience with Cerner EMR
- Block Schedule Accommodation: No
- Pending Licenses: Not accepted
