Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including prior travel experience. This position requires a strong background in orthopedics, with the ability to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
- Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Float to other units as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care to adult and geriatric populations, focusing on orthopedic and medical-surgical patients.
- Monitor patients using telemetry and respond to changes in health status.
- Work effectively as a Charge RN when needed, overseeing nursing staff and ensuring quality patient care.
- Utilize the unit's physical therapy gym to facilitate patient rehabilitation without needing to leave the unit.
- Manage high-volume patient populations including those recovering from total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties.
- Assist with other surgical procedures, as well as care for inpatient and 24-hour observation medical patients.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Previous travel experience is necessary.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Charge RN experience is mandatory.
