Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team for night shifts. This position is essential in providing respiratory care within an Emergency Room setting, where the therapist will be the sole provider during their shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in respiratory therapy and be prepared to handle various patient scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in the Emergency Room.
• Monitor and assess patient status, particularly those requiring ventilatory support.
• Administer therapies such as BiPAP and CPAP as needed.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards in the provision of care.
• Document patient care and treatment effectively in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience in an acute care or emergency setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Shift Information

This position involves 3 night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Please note that holiday requests for time off will not be accommodated.

Additional Information

This role primarily involves providing respiratory care to emergency patients. While the facility typically has few patients, the therapist must be prepared for occasional observations and ensure all services offered align with acute care standards.
