Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to perform both clinical and technical tasks within the Cath Lab setting, focusing on patient care and procedural support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct invasive catheterization procedures, including but not limited to balloon angioplasty, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), stenting, and thrombectomy.
• Assist with various cardiac interventions and adjunct therapies related to cardiac procedures.
• Utilize advanced technologies for hemodynamic monitoring, including EPIC-CUPID and XPER Witt.
• Perform diagnostics on patients with conditions such as coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and arrhythmias.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures, including conscious sedation when necessary.
• Perform EKGs and prepare patients for procedures in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certifications are strongly preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in handling a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics.
• Proficient in a range of catheterization techniques, including access through radial, ulnar, and femoral sites.
• Familiarity with diagnostic capabilities such as IVUS, OCT, and Swan-Ganz catheterization.
• Ability to float to other areas as needed, especially during times of increased demand, such as during a COVID surge.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a 4x10 hour schedule, Monday through Friday, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on departmental needs.

Patient Care Focus

The Cath Lab Technologist will provide direct care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and will play a crucial role in the overall patient experience and safety.
