Job Description:

No time off will be granted during the first 13 weeks of the contract.

General Job Duties:

• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, demonstrating proficiency in both normal and pathological imaging including:
• Abdominal: Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, and Renal
• Gynecological (GYN): Breast, Ovaries, Adnexa, Uterus, Pelvis (normal, post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult, and pediatric cases)
• Obstetric (OB): 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester imaging, amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profiling, gestational age assessment, placental grading, abnormalities, and intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR)
• Neonatal: Imaging for congenital anomalies and neonatal head
• Superficial Structures: Abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematomas, scrotum & testes, thyroid
• Vascular: Carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex

Equipment Utilized:

• Canon i700
• Meditech EMR
• Fuji Synapse PACS

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
• At least one contract or more experience as a sonographer
• A minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a sonographer

Licensures and Certifications Required:

• ARDMS (AB, OB, RVT)
• Active BLS certification (must be AHA certified)

Shift Information:

• 40-hour work week with variable shifts and holidays required
• Potential floating to other units or departments as needed

Dress Code: Personal scrubs and healthcare professional attire.
