Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit. This role focuses on providing high-quality care for medical neurological patients, supported by a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exemplary nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes in a timely manner.
• Assist with procedures and therapies including CVA care, External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band application, and Yale Swallowing Screen.
• Float across multiple facilities as required.
• Participate in self-scheduling to manage shifts effectively.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar nursing role is required.
• Previous experience in a Neuro Progressive Care Unit is essential.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• Charge RN experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to float to various locations as needed.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a rotating schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, encompassing weekend availability. Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

About the Unit

The 3 West unit is a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department focused on the care of patients with neurological conditions. A dedicated Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department provides constant surveillance and support for the patients in this unit.
