Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with specialized experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) settings. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to critically ill infants, ensuring their safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to neonatal patients.
• Monitor and assess patients’ respiratory status and adjust therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate families regarding respiratory care and home management techniques.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic charting software.

Qualifications

• Active registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a focus on NICU.
• Experience in critical care and NICU is required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to float between units and cover shifts as needed.

Work Schedule

This position requires working nights with block schedule assignments. Weekend shifts are mandatory, occurring every other weekend. A total of 48 hours is approved.

Expected Patient Ratios

The typical patient-to-staff ratio is 1:15.
