Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join our team for a 10-hour night shift schedule, totaling 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and experience to provide exceptional laboratory services.

Shift Notes

• 10-hour night shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holidays may be required

Responsibilities

The Medical Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for the following:

• Performing laboratory tests and analyses accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Documenting and reporting test results in a timely manner
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, with 1 year of current experience required
• National Certification as an MLS/MT (ASCP preferred; NCCT not accepted)
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC required)
• Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel between locations as needed
• All requested time off must be noted at the time of application submission

Additional Information

Orientation will be provided, and any work on holidays or overtime will follow applicable regulations. Candidates will not be accepted if they reside within 50 miles of the facility.
