Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records using Epic charting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.

Shift Details

This position requires a commitment to night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Travel nurses are expected to work at least every other holiday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of recent and continuous experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross are required.
• Recent Epic charting experience (within the last 6 months) is mandatory.
• A reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
