Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

Full-time position with three twelve-hour night shifts per week, including every third weekend and rotating holiday coverage.

Position Overview

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning and providing comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This includes:

• Assessing patient needs
• Developing care plans
• Implementing patient care interventions
• Evaluating patient outcomes
• Directing patient education
• Guiding the activities of ancillary personnel

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current nursing license required
• BLS & ACLS certification mandatory
• Experience is preferred but not required

Health Requirements

Candidates must meet the following health requirements prior to the contract start date:

• Proof of immunizations, including MMR, Varicella, Polio, Hepatitis B, and current TDaP
• Influenza vaccination required during Flu Season
• Negative 2-step Mantoux test or QuantiFERON Gold
• Proof of physical examination within the past year
• 10 Panel Drug Screen
• Respiratory Fit Test within the past year

Background Checks

• Criminal background check for all states where the candidate holds a professional license and has lived or worked in the past seven years
• Verification against the National & State Sex Offender Registers
• OIG check
• GSA(EPLS) check

Education Requirements

• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse
• Completion of CareLearning education modules

Additional Information

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain high standards of professional nursing practice and provide exceptional care to patients. Holiday coverage is required.
