Position Overview:

The Surgical Technologist (ST) is responsible for maintaining a sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures. This role involves preparing the operating room and ensuring that supplies are organized and ready for each surgical case. The ST works collaboratively with all members of the Perioperative team to provide the highest standard of care during the intraoperative period, adhering to AORN standards. Additionally, the ST assists with stocking and ordering supplies for the department and may provide supportive patient care as directed by other team members.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado, or the ability to obtain one prior to the start date.
• Experience in orthopedic surgery.
• Experience with the DaVinci robotic system.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent operating room experience.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST) is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Additional Information:

Travelers will be responsible for their own housing, which can be expensive, especially during the winter months. It is advisable to consider housing options in surrounding towns.

Shift Information:

• Rotating shift schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts.
• Holiday coverage is required.

Experience Requirement:

Minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
