Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to assist with ongoing needs in an emergency department setting, specifically focusing on ED Boarding. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for a 3x12 Day/Night rotation or Straight Night shifts.
Shift Details
- 3x12 Day/Night rotation (4 weeks of each) or Straight Nights available
- Every other holiday and every other weekend requirement
- Orientation available during the weeks of September 14 and September 28
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing emergency conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Assist with the discharge process and educate patients and families about ongoing care needs.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical or emergency department setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required based on specific role requirements.
