Position Overview

A highly motivated Occupational Therapist is needed to join a dynamic therapy team. The position offers flexible scheduling with options for 5x8 or 4x10 shifts, and a contract length of either 13 or 26 weeks, based on the candidate’s preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients across various settings, including Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF environments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans as per individual patient needs, focusing on enhancing skills necessary for daily living.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate patient progress and modify therapy interventions accordingly.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document therapy sessions and patient progress using Epic charting system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Occupational Therapy.
• Active BLS certification and NBCOT certification required.
• Current license to practice in the state of Alaska.
• Experience in Pediatrics and Adolescents preferred but not mandatory.

Work Schedule

• Shift Options: 5x8 or 4x10 Days - Traveler's Choice.
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks.
• Weekend and on-call requirements do not apply.

Facility Information

• Type: Acute Care Medical Center/Long Term Care Facility/Outpatient.
• Staffed Beds: 46 for Acute Care and 22 for Long Term Care.
• Facility is a Level IV Trauma and Critical Access Hospital that serves patients of all ages.
• Free parking available for all staff members.

Housing Information

• Housing provided for travelers during their assignment, typically in 1-bedroom apartments.
• Units available for move-in 72 hours prior to the contract start date and must be vacated within 24 hours after the contract ends.
• Pets are not permitted in housing units.
• Cleanliness upon departure is mandatory to avoid additional cleaning fees.
