Medical-Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a night shift position. This role will involve providing high-quality care to adult patients with a variety of diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with conditions such as sepsis, urinary tract infections (UTIs), acute kidney injury (AKI), pneumonia, cholecystitis, and congestive heart failure (CHF).
• Monitor patient vitals and implement care plans as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Participate in patient and family education initiatives.
• Assist with routine procedures and provide post-operative care as needed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Schedule

This position is for 36 hours per week, requiring three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Every other weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
• BLS certification is required.
• NIHSS certification is required.
• A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Patient Care Environment

As a member of the 2W Med-Surg/Tele unit, you will care for a maximum of five patients at a time, in a 29-bed setting. Floating to other units and facilities may be required based on patient care needs.

Scrub Color

The standard scrub color for this position is navy blue.

Additional Information

• This position requires adherence to scheduled holiday shifts as specified.
• The nurse will float within the specialty and to sister facilities as needed.
