Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Telemetry team. This position requires nurses who are capable of working in a fast-paced environment, providing optimal care for patients with varied needs, including higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, atrial fibrillation, and those post-heart catheterization.

Shift Details

• 3x12 Hour Shifts
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on unit needs

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring and step-down from ICU.
• Administer medications and drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and initiate sotolol protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and telemetry for any significant changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system (EPIC).
• Floating to other similar units may be required based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Tennessee nursing license required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Candidates will be reviewed based on their clinical experience.
