Job Description
The Cardiac Technologist is responsible for conducting X-rays and assisting in scrubbing Cath Lab cases. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing left heart catheterizations (LHC)
- Executing right heart catheterizations (RHC)
- Handling device placements
- Managing peripheral and carotid interventions
Call and Weekend Requirements
Staff will be required to be on-call one weekday per week and one weekend every four weeks on a rotating schedule. Holiday coverage may also be assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab is preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
- IEMA certification is required for the state of Illinois.
