Position Overview
This is a float pool position for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse. The role involves providing care across various units within the facility, including Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency Department (ED). Nurses in this position will specifically care for medical-surgical boarders.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in multiple units as needed.
- Utilize advanced telemetry skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and support for medication management.
- Float between all Medical-Surgical Telemetry units, PCU, ICU, and ED as required.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing role.
- Strong expertise in telemetry monitoring and management.
- Must have prior experience with floating between units.
- Must be separated from previous employment within the organization for a minimum of 6 months.
Schedule
This position requires 12-hour night shifts with a commitment to working every other weekend.
