• General Certifications: NRP, PALS, ACLS
• Nursing Certifications: STABLE, TNCC

Position Summary

This position is essential in delivering high-quality patient care by utilizing nursing judgment, skills, and knowledge. The Registered Nurse is actively involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and contributes to quality assurance initiatives.

Supervision

Reports to the Hospital Nursing Supervisor

Job Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current valid state Nursing License
• Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE
• Excellent communication skills

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients, including observing and documenting signs and symptoms, administering treatments, and assisting with examinations.
• Prepare and document medications through electronic health systems, monitoring IVs and discontinuing as needed.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to plan, provide, and evaluate patient care.
• Support physicians, nurses, and staff as needed, ensuring total patient care in various units (ER, Med/Surg, LDR, Nursery).
• Maintain cleanliness and order in patient care areas and equipment.
• Observe, record, and report on patient conditions, noting any changes.
• Perform selected procedures and therapeutic treatments after demonstrating competence.
• Care for obstetrical patients during labor, delivery, and post-partum periods following training compliance.
• Promote patient cooperation and educate patients in self-care practices.
• Engage in the continuous improvement of nursing practices to meet patient needs.
• Assume responsibility for maintaining high standards of nursing care and accurate patient records.
• Assist in training new staff and participate in quality assurance and educational programs.
