Description
We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to perform and supervise vascular ultrasound procedures aimed at assessing blood flow, detecting vascular abnormalities, and aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions. This role requires direct patient care and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Essential Functions
- Conduct a diverse range of vascular ultrasound examinations, such as carotid, arterial, venous, and peripheral vascular studies.
- Utilize Doppler and color-flow imaging techniques to evaluate blood flow and identify abnormalities.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of vascular ultrasound equipment to ensure precise and dependable results.
- Prepare and position patients for vascular ultrasound examinations to facilitate accurate diagnostics.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate ultrasound protocols for each patient.
Qualifications
- Must possess the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- BLS certification required.
Schedule
This position offers a schedule of Tuesday to Friday, totaling 36 hours with four 9-hour shifts.
