We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care across various pediatric units. The position involves floating to critical care areas including PICU, NICU, pediatric medical-surgical, pediatric PACU, pediatric emergency department boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby units.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in multiple departments as needed.
• Manage and monitor patients in PICU and NICU settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in various patient care duties in pediatric medical-surgical units and PACU.
• Support postpartum and mother-baby care as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PICU required.
• Prior experience in NICU is essential.
• Comfortable with pediatric care across various settings.
• Peds PACU experience is highly preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required; candidates may apply with this certification pending, at their own expense.
• Epic experience is necessary for effective patient management.
• Must adhere to floating policies.

Work Schedule and Requirements

• Position requires availability for either 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend and holiday; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.
• No requests for time off can be approved during the first two weeks of the assignment.
• Approval for up to 40 hours for time off may be granted.
