Job Details

We are seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with the following qualifications and responsibilities:

Shift Information

• Shift: Day Shift (5x8 Hour) - 06:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Holidays: Required as scheduled
• Weekends: Required on a rotational basis

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience required; candidates with 2 years of strong experience may be considered
• First-time travelers welcome with extensive general OR and robotics experience
• Must be proficient in scrubbing and circulating
• Current RN license for the state of Maryland
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical nursing care and ensure patient safety in the operating room
• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures, including trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, bariatric, and Da Vinci robotics
• Manage care for adult and geriatric patients with a ratio of 1:1
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) platform, specifically Epic

Additional Information

• Floating may be required within the specialty and to sister locations as needed
• On-call rotation includes 5-6 calls per 4-week period, with one weekend call
• Respond to on-call requests within 30 minutes
