We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment while providing high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Unit Name: Emergency Department
- Bed Count: 65
- Census: Approximately 230 visits/day
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:4
Position Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Nursing
- Skills:
- Patient assessment and documentation
- Intravenous (IV) therapy
- Phlebotomy
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation
- Cardiac monitoring
- Point-of-care testing
- Splinting
- Critical thinking and patient education
- Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP & TNCC certifications strongly preferred)
Work Environment
This role involves working in a pod-based Emergency Department that includes a separate pediatric pod and an Acute Mental Health area. Rotating shifts may be required upon request, although this position primarily operates on night shifts. Floating to ED Observation and other designated areas may also be required.
