Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care. This position involves the potential to float to various units, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department, to care for a similar patient population.

Shift Details

• Rotating shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM and 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 12-hour shifts, four days a week
• Shift scheduling may be variable based on the operational needs of the hospital
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions and utilize appropriate interventions based on assessment data.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing.
• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license from Ohio or a compact state.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are required.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required.
