Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and will be responsible for monitoring patients with cardiac-related issues. This position requires the ability to work on a day shift schedule and the flexibility to float within the specialty as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care to individuals on telemetry monitoring.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day (3x12-Hour: 07:00 - 19:30)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; 4 weekends in a 4-week schedule cycle.
• Holidays: Required as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry nursing is required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Current Maryland RN license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI required (CPI can be obtained during orientation if not already held).
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage a patient load of 1:5, with potential for up to 6 patients in low acuity conditions.
• Must be adaptable and willing to float within the telemetry specialty and lower acuity areas as needed.

Additional Information

• On-call duty is not required for this position.
