Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and ensuring patient safety.
Shift Information
- 3x12 Hour Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Weekend shifts may be required
Patient Care Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a stepdown unit with varying acuity levels
- Assist with telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Perform IV starts and manage IV therapy
- Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
Qualifications
- Current RN license with a minimum of 1.5-2 years of nursing experience
- At least 1 year of experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry and 2 years of experience in a Stepdown unit
- American Heart Association BCLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to read telemetry strips
Additional Information
Blocked schedules will be considered, specifically for weekend blocks (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday). Scrubs will not be provided; candidates are expected to wear burgundy and/or white scrubs. Experience in a telemetry unit is essential, as well as a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.

- Start date: As soon as possible
- Contract length: 13 weeks with possible extension
