Description
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse looking to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Unit Type: Operating Room
- Shift Length: 10 or 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Years of Experience: 2 years required
- Required Certifications: BLS Certification
Shift Notes
- Shifts available: 7A-5P, 7A-7P; options for 36 or 40 hours per week with on-call duties.
- Travelers may select shifts based on availability.
- ASAP start required; availability through June 1st.
Unit Overview
- Number of Surgical Suites: 23
- Average Number of Cases per Day: 75
- Common Case Types: Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Cardiac, and Exploratory Laparoscopy.
Job Requirements
- Must possess experience in scrubbing and/or circulating Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases.
- Must have experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
- Weekend rotation required; must be available for on-call duties.
- Charge Nurse available on all shifts.
Call Expectations
- All travelers are expected to take the same amount of call as permanent staff.
- Call response time is 45 minutes.
- Travelers will participate in the call rotation system and may be assigned to circulate various types of cases, depending on the needs of the unit.
Schedule Flexibility
- Self-scheduling is allowed within reason; block scheduling not guaranteed.
- Weeknight call requirement: 3-4 per 4-week period.
- Weekend call requirement: 1 shift per 4-week period.
