Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to oversee our 40-bed Long-Term Care/Skilled Unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring optimal care delivery and patient satisfaction.
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Participate in the development and implementation of care plans and clinical protocols.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance initiatives.
• Facilitate communication between patients, family members, and the healthcare team.
• Assist in managing budget and resource allocation for the unit.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment.
• Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a positive work environment.
• Proficient in using electronic health records and other healthcare technologies.
