Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a strong nursing background with specialized expertise in wound care management to provide exceptional patient care.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 5x8 hour shifts from 07:30 to 16:00, Monday through Friday
• One Saturday shift per month
• Every third weekend required
• Availability for every other holiday as needed

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • WCC (Wound Care Certified)
• Preferred Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse)
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
• Experience in a hospital setting is necessary
• Travel experience is required
• Charge nurse experience is preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records is required

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage various types of wounds, including Stage I-IV pressure ulcers
• Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop appropriate care plans
• Utilize specialized equipment such as wound vacs and other novel therapies
• Document wound conditions and healing progress using camera photography
• Provide care for patients with routine and complex dermatological conditions, including new and chronic pressure injuries and ostomy placements

Patient Population

The Wound Care RN will work with patients experiencing a range of conditions, including:

• Routine pressure injuries
• New and chronic wounds
• Diverse dermatological issues, including necrotizing fascitis and other rare conditions
• New ostomy placements

Additional Requirements

All employees are required to have the seasonal flu vaccine.
