Job Overview
Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in an adult/geriatric Medical-Surgical unit. This position involves caring for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions, while managing complex patients with multiple comorbidities and providing both pre- and post-operative care.
Schedule
- Full-time nights: 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:00)
- Rotating holidays and weekends are required
- No block scheduling available
Patient Care
- Patient ratios: 1:5–6
- Caring for a diverse adult and geriatric patient population with complex medical conditions and post-operative needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience is required
- Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with MEDITECH system is required
Essential Skills
- Strong assessment skills are essential
- Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients effectively
