Position Overview

The Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing patient-centered care across various intensive care units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery. This role requires flexibility to adapt to different care environments and populations, ensuring high-quality clinical care and support for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple ICU settings.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with established policies.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts, with a schedule of 4 days on, 12 hours per shift (19:00 to 07:30). Work includes alternating weekends and some holiday shifts. There are options for travelers to consider blocked scheduling or alternate shift arrangements.

Qualifications

• Current WI RN license or compact RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Experience in multiple ICU units and familiarity with general care populations is preferred.
• Candidates will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to commencing work.
