Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency nursing, particularly with pediatric patients.
Job Overview
- Shift: 11a-11p
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an emergency department setting
- Pediatric emergency department experience is highly preferred
- Proficient IV skills are required
- Current Georgia or compact RN license is mandatory
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS are required; TNCC certification is a significant plus
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
- Common Patient Diagnoses: Sickle cell pain/fever, asthma, behavioral health issues, DKA, AGE, fever in pediatric patients
- Medications Managed: Insulin and sedation drips, resuscitation medications (excluding chemotherapy)
Additional Information
- May be required to float to other locations as needed
- This is a nicotine-free facility; testing with drug screen is mandatory
- Flu vaccination is required; no exceptions or declinations will be accepted
