Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong pediatric emergency experience and demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional care in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in an emergency department setting.
• Assess and triage patients effectively, ensuring timely and safe care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Attend to patient families, providing support and education on procedures and treatment plans.
• Float to other emergency department units as needed.
• Participate in holiday rotation as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric emergency department experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Must be willing to adhere to flu vaccination requirements. No exemptions will be accepted.
• Nicotine-free and must pass a nicotine screening along with drug testing.

Work Schedule

This position involves working night shifts, specifically from 9 PM to 6 AM, with a requirement to work four 9-hour shifts per week. Availability to work every other weekend is necessary.
