We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, specifically in a Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This position requires both day and night shifts, with floating among various medical/surgical units as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 20-bed MICU.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Perform telemetry as required and interpret telemetry strips effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including attendings and residents who are present 24/7.
• Document patient care and progress using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License required.
• Two or more years of continuous MICU experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Ability to read telemetry strips is essential.
• Experience in a Level III Trauma Center is a plus.

Additional Information

• Floating to medical/surgical units is required; patient assignments may vary.
• RN to patient ratio may vary between 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated.
• Free on-site parking is available for staff.
