Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pediatric Emergency Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a busy emergency department. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to pediatric patients.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize advanced assessment, intervention, and evaluation skills in patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records using EPIC charting.
- Participate in patient and family education regarding health management and procedures.
- Float to other units as required based on staffing needs, including sister campuses within a 12-mile radius.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards to enhance the patient care experience.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Department is required.
- Experience in Pediatric Emergency Department (PEDS ED) settings is necessary.
- Certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
- Proficient in EPIC charting system.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed; minimal to no requests for time off (RTO) accepted.
Work Schedule
This position requires availability for 3x12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Flexibility and willingness to float between units are essential due to departmental needs.
